Stephanie Casler

Stephanie Prather Casler left us suddenly on April 22, 2024, at the age of 69. She may have been taken away from this world too soon, but her loving heart leaves a beacon of light for all she knew.

Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by her daughter Carrie, son Brian, daughter-in-law Ali and granddaughter Remi. They will carry her legacy of kindness and joy along with a community of friends and family who also survived her.

Stephanie was born in Long Beach, Ca, and spent her early life in Fullerton. After the death of her father in 1969, her family moved to Laguna Beach. In 1974 Stephanie married her childhood sweetheart Larry 'Buster' Casler and together they had two children, Carrie and Brian. She went on to raise her two children in her beloved Laguna Beach where she was an active member of the community, schools, and athletics.  

Stephanie remained dedicated to the community, loved ones, and strangers alike. She gave of herself fully and was tireless in her dedication to helping others. She was known for her infectious personality and warmth, novel-length text messages, unparalleled party planning, and devotion to family and friends above all else. She dedicated her life to her children whom she 'loved more than life', and most recently Stephanie's greatest joy was her granddaughter Remi.  

Stephanie's life was a testament to the beauty of a life well-lived, the lives she touched, and the love she shared. Her presence will be deeply missed, and her unexpected passing will be felt by all those who knew her along the way.

We found this quote scribbled down by Stephanie in 1971, and it is a fitting reminder of how she lived her life selflessly giving of herself until the end.
