She was raised in Chandler graduating from high school in 1949. Lorena then went to nursing school earning her Registered Nurse degree.
Lorena married her high school sweetheart Jerry Wolf from Chandler, and they moved to San Bernardino, CA where she worked for St. Bernardine Hospital and assisted Jerry in his interior design business. They had three children, Kevin, David and Shari.
Lorena started the Inland Empire's first hospice program at St. Bernardine Hospital in the late 1970’s. She was a member of the Loma Linda Lopers running/walking club as well as the San Bernardino Toastmasters Club.

She was a dedicated docent for the Getty Center and a parishioner of American Martyrs Catholic Church becoming an active member for over twenty years.
