Kjersten Lee Jensen of Los Angeles, CA passed away at her home on February 5, 2025 after a 16 month battle with breast cancer, with her loved ones at her side. Born in Antioch, CA, and a graduate of Berean Christian High School in Walnut Creek, CA, she went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree at Azusa Pacific University in Southern California.
After graduation she made Los Angeles her home and resided in Highland Park for many years until moving to West Hollywood.
Kjersten was known for her vibrant, outgoing personality, and her sense of humor. She had a wide social group of friends, where she met the love of her life, Ese Shaw. They found the perfect home in West Hollywood and lived there with their dog Cowboy for the last year.
Kjersten used her degree to work in the retail buying arena, and was a Beauty Buyer for FabFitFun for the past 6 years, where she was well thought of and made long lasting friendships.
She loved to travel and spent time in Italy, Thailand, Japan, England, France, Mexico and Spain. She traveled frequently on business trips for her work and always enjoyed the cities she was in. Her favorite past times were hanging out with her boyfriend and her dog, dining out, planning parties, and gathering with her friends to play board games, as well as participating in daily Wordle and Connection groups.
Kjersten was preceded in death by her fraternal grandparents, maternal grandfather, three aunts, as well as a sibling lost in utero. She is survived by her mother, Suzanne; father, Terry; brother Trevor and his wife Jessica; brother Tyler; five beautiful nieces and nephews; beloved aunts and uncles as well as dear first cousins.
She fought her cancer battle bravely, with humor and optimism and was a role model for so many. Kjersten proclaimed her love for Jesus, and was secure in the promise of eternity spent in heaven. She leaves behind a legacy of love, friendship, and laughter, and will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the SF Bay Area, at Golden Hills Community Church in Brentwood, CA, Saturday, March 8th at 11:00 a.m., with a reception to follow. Family and friends are invited to join together to share and to honor her life.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to OAW, a Los Angeles area business that was started to help women regain self- esteem after losing their hair through chemotherapy or other illnesses. Kjersten was a client of theirs; hairwithacause.com or theforgottendog.org a Los Angeles area dog rescue.
