In Loving Memory of Agnete Frederikka McCoy Miller
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Agnete Frederikka McCoy Miller a cherished daughter, devoted sister, beloved wife, doting mother and Mimi to three wonderful children and three granddaughters. Her unwavering dedication and unconditional love were felt by everyone fortunate enough to know her. Nete passed on November 18, 2025 after two and a half years courageously fighting breast cancer.
Born, November 10,1947, in Urbana, Illinois, growing up in Champaign, Illinois, where she met her, later to become husband, Leonard E. Miller, on a blind date. After moving to California, at the age of 27, they were married, settling in Redondo Beach.
Born with a heart full of love, Nete spent her life putting others first. Her family was her world, and she showered them with boundless affection and steadfast support. Nete, was a loving and devoted wife, she shared a lifetime of joy, laughter, and unwavering support with her husband.
Nete’s life was fulfilled as a mother and Mimi. She nurtured her children and granddaughters with care, guiding and cheering them on every step of the way. She spent most of her time in life making and thinking of ways to ease life for those she loved. Her role as a sister and daughter was marked by enduring loyalty and kindness, always ready with a listening ear and a comforting embrace.
Her friends knew her as a steady ear, kind heart and gentle spirit always encouraging them with her warm smile and uplifting spirit. Nete’s commitment to her loved ones was unmatched, leaving a legacy of compassion and strength that will forever inspire those who had the privilege to know her.
Nete’s passion for helping people was carried over into her professional life, where she spent most of her career in the medical field.
Although she may no longer be with us, Nete’s spirit lives on in the hearts of her family and friends. Her memory will be cherished, and her love will continue to shine brightly in the lives of all who loved her.
Nete is survived by her husband, Leonard E. Miller Sr of Redondo Beach, California, sons Jarred R. Miller of Redondo Beach, California and Leonard E. Miller Jr of Grover Beach, California, and daughter, Ella Anna McDaniel of Greenwood, Indiana. Also surviving are her granddaughters, Lyric Anna McDaniel, Kaliana A. Diaz and Kristiana A. Miller, son-in-law, Ryan K. McDaniel and daughter-in-law, Veniece B. Miller. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Ella A. McCoy, Ralph E. McCoy Sr, brothers Dennis J. McCoy, Ralph E. McCoy Jr, and Charles E. McCoy.
As she wished, Nete will be cremated, her ashes interred at the family grave site located in Urbana, Illinois. A private gathering of her immediate family will be held. In the spring 2026, a celebration of life to be planned in her home town of Champaign Illinois, when she will be laid to rest, will be announced to her close friends and family.
Nete, we hold you close as our angel above, and we honor your amazing legacy with love. We love you forever.
